On the basis of the abstracts received, a review will be done by the Programme Committee to select papers for the Symposium and to determine the most appropriate format – oral or poster.

If an abstract is selected, at least one author must register for the Symposium (before the end of early-bird registration) and present the paper. All authors are expected to meet their own expenses to attend the symposium; this includes the symposium registration fee, travel, and accommodation. Please note that each presenter must have paid the registration fee to be included in the final program, and that a maximum of two presentations will be allowed per registered participant.

All accepted abstracts will be included in the symposium proceedings. Authors of accepted oral presentations are asked to submit a full paper. Full papers shall be limited to between 6-8 A4 pages (including figures, tables and references). Selected manuscripts will be published on Journal of Environmental Engineering (JEE).

Following the peer review process, selected full papers are considered for publication in the JEE after the journal’s review process. Please note that, acceptance of a paper for symposium presentation or selection of the full paper to be considered for publication in the related journals does not guarantee subsequent acceptance for journal publication.
